Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, and promote public-cloud engineering best practices across the department.
  • Automate public-cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
  • Build and operate highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud capabilities for payment platforms.
  • Support complex production application environments and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and influence peers, vendors, and executives across diverse technology teams.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience working with cloud services in multi-region deployments.
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration, deployment, configuration management, and DevOps environments.
  • Experience meeting requirements for high availability and scale.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Preferred experience managing teams of 10 or more engineers while retaining hands-on cloud expertise.
  • Preferred experience with Linux systems engineering, high-availability design, performance analysis, and network troubleshooting.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with AWS services including CloudWatch, EC2, ECS, IAM, and KMS; Kong API Gateway; Kafka; RDS Aurora; DynamoDB; Terraform; and GitLab CI/CD.
