Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype home design workflows and turn successful concepts into customer-ready software.
- Lead development of interactive 3D home design workflows connecting the UI, design data, and real-time 3D scene.
- Build AI-supported and agentic interactions that help users design homes.
- Own application architecture and technical delivery from early prototypes through production.
- Make technical decisions across frontend architecture, application state, service integration, performance, reliability, and testing.
- Partner with the product/UX lead to evaluate tradeoffs, identify risks, and determine product priorities.
- Collaborate with the platform team to improve shared application foundations and reusable patterns.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through pairing, code review, implementation support, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Track record of architecting, building, and shipping substantial web applications through production use.
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and modern web application architecture, including application state, API integration, performance, and maintainability.
- Experience making independent technical decisions in partnership with a product or design lead.
- Experience collaborating across application and platform teams and deciding what to generalize for reuse.
- Experience helping less experienced engineers deliver through implementation, mentoring, and technical guidance.
- Strong design and product-craft instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to narrow scope and ship useful increments.
- Hands-on experience with Three.js and browser-based 3D applications, particularly design or CAD tools, is strongly preferred.
- Enthusiasm for AI-forward development and AI-supported or agentic product experiences.
