Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products.
- Take full-stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code.
- Create scalable, reliable, performant designs that follow architectural best practices.
- Analyze failures, propose design changes, and improve operational processes.
- Make coding and design decisions with customer experience in mind.
- Participate in and conduct code reviews while following engineering, compliance, and security standards.
- Apply software reliability engineering practices throughout development.
- Contribute to technology transformation, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize and size work for incremental delivery and communicate blockers or delays.
- Develop and integrate complex software solutions, including Pega-based systems and supporting integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two to three years of relevant experience.
- Four to five years of experience with Pega Infinity 8.x or greater and supporting frameworks such as CPM and Collections is preferred.
- Pega Certified System Architect certification or higher is strongly preferred.
- Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, Pega Deployment Manager, containerized deployments, and Ansible is preferred.
- Object-oriented programming experience with Java or .NET is preferred.
- Experience administering and tuning Tomcat and IBM WebSphere is preferred.
- Experience with Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, Tibco middleware, REST, and GraphQL is preferred.
- Database connectivity experience, including IBM UDB 10.x or greater and PostgreSQL, is preferred.
- Experience with AWS telephony integration, including IVR, screen-pop, chat, and softphone, is preferred.
- Experience with Agile methodology, event-driven architecture, Kafka, streaming integrations, and cloud-native deployments is preferred.
- Pega Customer Decision Hub, financial services, credit card, and collections system experience are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills is preferred.
