Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AWS infrastructure with Terraform across compute, networking, storage, IAM, databases, and load balancing.
- Provision and manage OpenStack virtual machines, Linux services, bare-metal workloads, and OKD deployments using Helm and Helmfile.
- Build and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Manage Linux systems with Ansible, including writing and adapting roles.
- Operate workload observability using Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, and ELK for metrics, alerting, dashboards, and centralized logging.
- Support Development and QA teams with production systems, test environments, deployments, configuration, infrastructure issues, and release blockers.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, Linux, CI/CD, and application platforms.
- Automate operational tasks and participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, improvements, and cross-team infrastructure code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong, recent hands-on AWS experience with large-scale, high-traffic, business-critical production systems.
- Solid experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Practical experience running workloads in Kubernetes-based environments and working with Helm.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI.
- Hands-on Ansible experience, including writing or maintaining roles.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls, security groups, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, centralized logging, and ELK.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex problems across multiple layers of the stack.
- Confidence with Linux, virtual machines, production infrastructure, and systems outside fully managed cloud services.
- Comfort using Bash, Python, or similar tools for automation.
