Responsibilities

Design, operate, and improve Google Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, production services, and application deployments.
Identify and implement cloud cost savings through rightsizing, autoscaling, committed use discounts, lifecycle policies, and resource cleanup.
Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows with GitLab and Argo CD.
Manage secrets, access policies, messaging systems, Linux systems, CDN and DNS configurations, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
Improve centralized logging, monitoring, dashboards, alerting, service-level objectives, and error-budget practices.
Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, conduct blameless postmortems, and drive follow-up improvements.
Reduce operational toil through automation, runbooks, and platform tooling.

Strong production experience in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering with ownership of business-critical services.
Hands-on experience operating GCP infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads, including cloud spending analysis and cost optimization.
Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment workflows.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, particularly with Red Hat-based distributions.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, load balancing, and cloud networking.
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, production incident response, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with secrets management and secure infrastructure access.
Ability to write Bash automation and tools in Python or Go.
Ability to investigate complex failures across infrastructure and application boundaries.
Strong communication, ownership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Experience using AI-powered tools for engineering productivity, troubleshooting, scripting, automation, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
