Base Salary
$154k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale tooling for Grafana Cloud integrations and observability apps.
- Ship end-to-end features across React UI, Go backend services, dashboards, alerts, and Jsonnet monitoring mixins.
- Own projects from problem statement through production and validate outcomes with users.
- Write design proposals, run demos, and advocate for the team’s roadmap in cross-team discussions.
- Contribute upstream to Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana Alloy.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for owned services.
Requirements
- Experience working across frontend and backend development, particularly with TypeScript and Go or comparable languages.
- Product-focused mindset with the ability to identify user problems and decide what to build.
- Experience using coding agents and LLM tooling in software development.
- Working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, alerting, and operating observability systems in production.
- Strong written communication and ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
- Preferred experience includes open-source contributions, developer tooling for large user bases, Grafana plugins or dashboards, Grafana Alloy, the OpenTelemetry Collector, telemetry pipeline tooling, Jsonnet or another configuration-as-code language, and on-call operations.
