Base Salary
$106k - $132k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement event-driven transformation workflows and service integrations using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Fargate, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Build AI transformation pipelines using foundation-model APIs, prompt orchestration, embeddings, guardrails, data validation, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation patterns.
- Develop internal tooling and dashboards with React and Next.js backed by GraphQL APIs.
- Integrate with Kafka streams to exchange messages with domain microservices.
- Create AI-focused testing such as prompt regression suites, hallucination detection, and evaluation harnesses alongside unit, integration, and load tests.
- Instrument services with CloudWatch and Datadog and participate in CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and Product on requirements, technical tasks, design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production cloud services.
- Solid experience with AWS serverless architectures and event-streaming patterns using Kafka.
- Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Next.js, and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with AI orchestration, guardrails, data validation and quality, prompt engineering, and RAG patterns.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code using CDK or Terraform.
- Preferred experience in healthcare, genomics, or other regulated domains.
- Preferred exposure to vector search and semantic similarity techniques.
- Preferred understanding of data privacy and compliance standards such as HIPAA.
