Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship complex full-stack features across Python backend services, APIs, RPA workflows, browser-extension automation, and user interfaces.
- Build and extend Chrome extensions using content scripts, background or service-worker logic, side-panel UI, DOM tools, messaging, permissions, and in-page automation.
- Own automation and product components from requirements clarification through implementation, deployment, debugging, and production reliability.
- Translate clinical and healthcare RCM processes into robust automation workflows and reusable components.
- Integrate extension clients with backend orchestration over HTTP and WebSockets for sessions, chat, tool execution, and worker connectivity.
- Make technical design decisions for scalability, performance, security, maintainability, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
- Integrate with external healthcare systems such as EHRs and claims platforms while meeting HIPAA and GDPR requirements.
- Debug, profile, harden, and monitor production systems and deployed automations, including selectors, frames, and browser-extension edge cases.
- Mentor engineers through design discussions, pairing, code reviews, and hands-on technical guidance.
- Partner with product, clinical, RCM, and engineering stakeholders to deliver technically sound solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Deep hands-on Python experience for backend services and automation, including frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience, including modern state management such as Redux Toolkit.
- Experience building browser extensions, preferably Chrome MV3, including content scripts, service workers, messaging, permissions, and UI injection.
- Hands-on browser automation and DOM experience with CSS selectors, iframes, event simulation, and debugging against real web applications.
- Strong software design experience across backend services, APIs, WebSockets, and user-facing application layers.
- Experience building or integrating RPA and workflow automation solutions, third-party systems, databases, and distributed services.
- Experience operating production systems, including monitoring, performance tuning, CI/CD, and incident troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with healthcare data and regulatory compliance, especially HIPAA and GDPR.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-alignment, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills.
- Solid experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Docker; Kubernetes familiarity is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes healthcare RCM, EHR-adjacent automation, FHIR, HL7, athenahealth, WXT, Vite, Tailwind CSS, React Router, event-driven or asynchronous Python, bot reliability, MongoDB, Redis, pytest, and AI/ML-assisted automation.
