Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize audio codecs and audio-processing firmware for Tensilica configurable embedded HiFi processors.
- Use C-level changes, C intrinsics, and assembly language to improve DSP software performance.
- Update firmware for new features, interfaces, and processor configurations.
- Document implementations for engineering teams and customers.
- Collaborate with internal customer engineering teams and partners to resolve audio issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in DSP, audio processing, and speech signal processing.
- Experience developing and optimizing DSP applications in C and assembly language for DSP or DSP-like processors.
- Strong understanding of software performance tuning and software and interface design principles.
- Experience with at least one version control system.
- In-depth knowledge of audio and speech processing standards, including MPEG, Dolby, DTS, and G.7xx.
- A BE/BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
- MTech/MS is preferred.
- Experience with embedded hardware and knowledge of computer system architecture are desirable.
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively are required.
