Applied AI Engineer Co-op – Spring 2027 (January Start)

Responsibilities

Develop technical solutions for engineers evaluating and adopting data and AI solutions.
Consult on architecture and implement proof-of-concept, data science, and machine learning systems.
Build and present product architectures, write technical code, and demonstrate applications to stakeholders.
Apply the Innovator Method, Game Theory, and DecisionIQ to turn customer insights into business solutions.
Build and ship production solutions using cloud platforms, databases, data engineering, web design, AI technologies, and numerical methods.
Collaborate cross-functionally and support team members while delivering solutions that meet business needs.

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or enrolled in a credentialed software accelerator program.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale without rounding.
No prior work experience is required.
Strong academic performance in Computer Science or another STEM discipline is desired.
Desired proficiency in programming and debugging with Python, C#, C++, and SQL.
Desired experience designing AI solutions and architecting distributed data systems.
Hands-on experience in at least one of Machine Learning, Large Language Models, or Computer Vision is desired.
Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and AWS or Azure certification are desired.
Ability to lead design-thinking workshops and maintain a customer-centric mindset is desired.

Remote position.
$20 per hour starting pay, increasing for each undergraduate year completed.
