Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and operate highly available, scalable payment solutions supporting digital wallets, stored payment tokens, authentication, fraud prevention, and regulatory needs.
- Collaborate with product managers and architects to deliver cloud-based solutions and define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams, including development standards, design patterns, operational excellence, and mentoring.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and improve distributed-system performance.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to develop and operate payment systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
