Base Salary
$235k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build crawling, indexing, ranking, and retrieval systems behind Firecrawl Search.
- Improve latency, cost per query, ranking quality, and freshness as search volume grows.
- Own services end to end, including design, shipping, monitoring, and production iteration.
- Work with the Head of Search and search team on the product roadmap.
- Operate backend or distributed systems at real scale and turn ambiguous problems into shipped systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building production backend or infrastructure systems.
- Experience building and operating backend or distributed systems at real scale.
- Strong focus on latency, cost, correctness, and measurable iteration.
- Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems and ship without fully specified tickets.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not currently available.
