Responsibilities
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests for iOS mobile applications.
- Review requirements, UX flows, and technical designs to identify test scenarios and create comprehensive test plans.
- Perform manual and automated testing using iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud testing platforms.
- Collaborate with developers and SDETs to expand automation coverage and improve test effectiveness.
- Execute automated test suites, investigate failures, and troubleshoot automation issues.
- Analyze application logs, reproduce issues, validate bug fixes, and assist with root cause analysis.
- Create actionable defect reports with reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, and supporting evidence.
- Validate mobile application interactions with backend services through API and integration testing, including mocked services when appropriate.
- Support continuous integration and release validation through automated and manual activities in Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Work with engineering, product management, architecture, QA, and operations teams in an agile development environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software quality engineering experience with strong hands-on iOS mobile application testing experience.
- Experience creating test plans, identifying test scenarios, and executing comprehensive manual and automated testing.
- Hands-on experience with Appium and familiarity with Python-based automation.
- Understanding of the iOS application release lifecycle, including TestFlight, build pipelines, versioning, and release validation.
- Experience testing with iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
- Familiarity with Pytest, WebdriverIO, or Playwright, including reviewing automated tests and troubleshooting failures.
- Basic programming or scripting experience, preferably Python; Java, JavaScript, or C# is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience testing PlayStation or gaming-related applications, familiarity with PlayStation SDKs, and experience testing applications interacting with cloud services are preferred.
