Responsibilities
- Define architecture across multiple services and resolve cross-team technical bottlenecks.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical workshops with engineering, product, security, compliance, operations, and partner teams.
- Establish reusable APIs, service communication, event-driven integration, data access, observability, cloud infrastructure, and platform patterns.
- Set standards for REST APIs, gRPC APIs, service contracts, versioning, compatibility, and integration patterns using Java, Spring Boot, ODATA, and SQL.
- Design secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient systems for fleet management and mobility payments.
- Drive security-by-design, threat modeling, API security, authorization, PCI DSS considerations, data protection, and auditability.
- Define SLI, SLO, operational readiness, observability, chaos testing, resilience, and production-readiness practices.
- Create reusable CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code patterns using Helm, Argo, and Terraform.
- Set expectations for code quality and testing across unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, concurrency, and performance testing.
- Code selectively in foundational or high-risk components and validate architecture through prototypes and technical spikes.
- Lead resolution of complex incidents, corrective actions, reliability improvements, and cross-service defects.
- Build self-service tools, dashboards, and automation for engineering and operations teams.
- Shape cross-team roadmaps, identify dependencies and technical debt, and communicate technology investments in business terms.
- Mentor senior engineers and guide responsible adoption of emerging technologies and AI-enabled development tools.
- Maintain architecture documents, design records, reference implementations, runbooks, and operational-readiness documentation.
