Responsibilities
- Analyze large healthcare claims datasets and compare expected results with actual results across complex clinical logic paths.
- Develop test cases and test data based on specifications, clinical content definitions, and software implementation logic.
- Execute manual and automated tests, analyze test results, identify abnormalities, and report defects.
- Design and develop test automation frameworks and scripts, then execute automated tests and analyze their results.
- Participate in Scrum planning, identify dependencies and task breakdowns, provide estimates, and define the test approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED or higher and six years of software-industry experience.
- Three years of combined experience creating software quality tests and/or data-processing tests for non-GUI applications.
- Experience testing applications implemented using Java, SQL, and JSON.
- Preferred experience includes large healthcare, insurance, or financial datasets; healthcare claims and billing data; healthcare informatics; inpatient and outpatient data; and HIPAA requirements.
- Preferred experience includes testing Java jars or libraries without a user interface using JSON and CSV datasets.
- Experience with Python or Java automation frameworks and developing and executing test scripts using Java, Python, and SQL is preferred.
- Experience creating test preparation documentation, documenting test results and defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 15% domestically or internationally and obtain legal authorization to work without employment-visa sponsorship.
