Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
- Serve as the infrastructure subject matter expert for new products and technology introductions.
- Integrate infrastructure components with product features in collaboration with engineering and research teams.
- Design event-driven architectures and develop APIs and microservices for real-time processing and analytics.
- Improve reliability, performance, and scalability through monitoring, logging, and error handling.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to open-source projects, and mentor junior engineers.
- Track emerging technologies and apply relevant advances to infrastructure capabilities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and backend software development.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Python, Node.js, Go, or Ruby and the listed backend frameworks, databases, and API technologies.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, high-performance systems and collaborate across engineering, research, product, and external partner teams.
