Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services and event-driven microservices using TypeScript and AWS.
- Develop secure APIs and integrations for reporting, analytics, and dashboard experiences.
- Build and maintain serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and DynamoDB.
- Own services from design through deployment and production monitoring.
- Contribute to testing, observability, automation, production readiness, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor engineers, participate in architecture discussions, and promote AI tools for development productivity.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern backend development patterns.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, including serverless architectures and event-driven microservices.
- Experience designing APIs and distributed systems and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably AWS CDK.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes reporting, analytics, dashboarding, QuickSight or similar BI tools, React-based applications, multi-account or multi-region AWS environments, enterprise SaaS or regulated industries, technical leadership or mentoring, and AI-assisted development.
