Responsibilities
- Design and build Java APIs and backend services.
- Architect and develop scalable distributed systems for revenue calculation and developer payout workflows.
- Write maintainable, efficient code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, Accounting, Treasury, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Contribute to agentic AI systems that automate decision-making and improve productivity.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for mission-critical payment services.
- Drive cross-team consensus on technical direction and architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with exposure to scale and distributed services.
- Expertise developing APIs and robust backend services using Java or other JVM-based languages.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive projects from inception through user adoption and build cross-team consensus.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
- Experience building agentic AI systems is preferred.
- Payments-domain experience is preferred.
