Responsibilities
- Simplify existing systems by consolidating redundant systems and updating documentation.
- Solve straightforward problems with guidance from team members.
- Transform defined designs into code and deliver on schedule.
- Write secure, stable, and maintainable code with minimal defects.
- Participate in team design, scoping, and prioritization discussions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to identify technical opportunities and problems.
- Propose pragmatic solutions and engage in knowledge sharing.
- Own parts of the product and strive to become a subject matter expert.
- Document software clearly for future developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects as they arise.
- Provide excellent customer support.
- Estimate tasks and deliver them on time.
- Participate in on-call support rotation.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience with Java.
- Working knowledge of ReactJS.
- Understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
- Some experience with event streaming technologies.
- Knowledge of AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Understanding of modern backend architectures and design patterns.
- Experience with testing concepts and best practices.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
