Responsibilities
- Design and architect infrastructure and services to meet reliability and functionality requirements.
- Forecast infrastructure demand and manage capacity for current and future workloads.
- Collaborate with software development teams to build reliable and scalable infrastructure and features.
- Monitor services, collect and analyze operational data, and provide health and performance reporting.
- Perform incident response, technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, maintenance, provisioning, and decommissioning.
- Develop automation tools and scripts for monitoring, metrics, analysis, mitigation, and remediation.
- Participate in on-call shifts, resolve issues across services, document incidents, and conduct post-mortems.
- Identify and execute improvements to performance, deployments, resource usage, speed, and scalability.
- Experiment with tools and technologies and communicate the impact of infrastructure, feature, and tooling changes.
Requirements
- Experience or demonstrated capability in infrastructure reliability, service operations, capacity management, incident response, and troubleshooting is required by the described responsibilities.
- Ability to develop automation tools or scripts and independently test them for correctness.
- Ability to perform technical analysis, root cause analysis, post-mortems, monitoring, reporting, and operational documentation.
- Ability to communicate service scale, capacity, security, performance, requirements, and potential change impacts.
- Ability to independently manage work, prioritize tasks, collaborate across teams, solve standard and non-standard problems, and continuously learn.
