Responsibilities
- Drive large-scale technical and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with development, security engineering, compliance, and other stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle.
- Provide technical support to developers using platform services.
- Develop and maintain well-factored, tested infrastructure code.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase reliability and deployment speed.
- Improve EKS/ECS-based container infrastructure for platform agility, security, and developer enablement.
- Improve development processes, technical practices, coding standards, and developer productivity tooling.
- Automate manual processes and reduce operational overhead.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support of critical infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of industry experience developing significant feature sets and infrastructure automation projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with a cloud provider, ideally AWS.
- Recent hands-on experience with EKS or Kubernetes, including container orchestration, cluster management, and microservices deployment.
- Recent GitOps experience with FluxCD or ArgoCD.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including GitHub or GitLab, Ansible, Artifactory, Snyk, Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and using at least one programming language to deliver a production backend service.
- Strong fundamentals in networking, infrastructure, Linux, and Windows.
- Ability to become productive quickly in unfamiliar technologies or codebases.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Experience improving team standards and processes.
- Mentoring experience in the relevant area of expertise.
