Responsibilities

  • Drive large-scale technical and architecture discussions.
  • Collaborate with development, security engineering, compliance, and other stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to developers using platform services.
  • Develop and maintain well-factored, tested infrastructure code.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase reliability and deployment speed.
  • Improve EKS/ECS-based container infrastructure for platform agility, security, and developer enablement.
  • Improve development processes, technical practices, coding standards, and developer productivity tooling.
  • Automate manual processes and reduce operational overhead.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support of critical infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of industry experience developing significant feature sets and infrastructure automation projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with a cloud provider, ideally AWS.
  • Recent hands-on experience with EKS or Kubernetes, including container orchestration, cluster management, and microservices deployment.
  • Recent GitOps experience with FluxCD or ArgoCD.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including GitHub or GitLab, Ansible, Artifactory, Snyk, Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and using at least one programming language to deliver a production backend service.
  • Strong fundamentals in networking, infrastructure, Linux, and Windows.
  • Ability to become productive quickly in unfamiliar technologies or codebases.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience improving team standards and processes.
  • Mentoring experience in the relevant area of expertise.
