Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operating rhythm for the law-firm Legal Engineering team, including priorities, one-to-ones, coaching, capacity, quality review, and escalations.
- Translate regional commercial priorities into weekly account execution with clear ownership, next steps, risks, governance, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead selected high-value law-firm engagements from discovery to go-live and drive repeatable adoption across practice groups.
- Build trusted relationships with managing partners, practice leaders, innovation and knowledge teams, IT leaders, and customer champions.
- Partner with Go-to-Market, Engagement, and Product on conversion, usage, renewal, expansion, service-model development, and product gaps.
- Coach Legal Engineers on demos, workshops, programme plans, stakeholder communications, and difficult client situations.
- Create sponsor-and-champion models within customer firms to support implementation and senior decision-making.
- Develop reusable templates, checklists, recordings, narratives, and playbooks from recurring client patterns.
- Hire, onboard, and develop Legal Engineers while maintaining a consistent quality bar.
- Protect delivery quality and sustainable team pace by addressing poor scope, capacity issues, and overdependence on individual heroics.
Requirements
- Substantial experience working with sophisticated law firms and influencing senior legal stakeholders.
- Typically around 8 to 14 years of relevant experience, with evidence of Lead Legal Engineer or Director-level scope, autonomy, and repeated impact.
- Understanding of law-firm economics, partner incentives, practice-group dynamics, and the relationship between innovation, quality, risk, and billable work.
- Experience with coaching, feedback, delegation, hiring, or performance judgment; direct people-management experience is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to lead complex client workshops, demos, and programmes while developing others to do the same.
- Strong curiosity about generative AI and products, including the ability to test workflows, challenge assumptions, and explain limitations accurately.
- Ability to connect Legal Engineering work to conversion, adoption, usage, renewal, and expansion outcomes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, programme-management, and thought-leadership skills.
- Fluent English communication; Scandinavian-language skills are preferred but not required.
- A Scandinavian legal qualification is preferred but not required; equivalent credibility may come from legal innovation, knowledge, legal operations, professional services, or legal technology.
- Based in Stockholm, able to work from the office five days per week, and comfortable travelling across Scandinavia and the Baltics.
