Responsibilities
- Contribute to automated solutions for next-generation optical transport products.
- Solve complex technical problems.
- Collaborate closely with Firmware R&D teams.
- Improve the quality and robustness of firmware and hardware tests.
Requirements
- Be a third- or fourth-year student pursuing Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree.
- Be currently enrolled at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
- Have strong object-oriented software design and implementation skills in any language.
- Have experience with some or all of Git, GitHub, Bash, PowerShell, ChatGPT, Copilot, C#, Python, JavaScript, XML, gRPC, and Jira.
- Have experience in instrumentation and automation.
- Understand optical systems and have experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Be eligible to complete a background check.
