Responsibilities

  • Contribute to automated solutions for next-generation optical transport products.
  • Solve complex technical problems.
  • Collaborate closely with Firmware R&D teams.
  • Improve the quality and robustness of firmware and hardware tests.

Requirements

  • Be a third- or fourth-year student pursuing Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree.
  • Be currently enrolled at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
  • Have strong object-oriented software design and implementation skills in any language.
  • Have experience with some or all of Git, GitHub, Bash, PowerShell, ChatGPT, Copilot, C#, Python, JavaScript, XML, gRPC, and Jira.
  • Have experience in instrumentation and automation.
  • Understand optical systems and have experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
  • Be eligible to complete a background check.
