Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and support secure, scalable, cloud-native microservices applications.
- Build resilient architectures that avoid single points of failure and support zero-downtime releases.
- Develop and review high-quality production code using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and full-stack technologies.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues while automating remediation of recurring problems.
- Lead communities of practice and drive adoption of modern engineering technologies and patterns.
- Promote responsible use of approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Establish standards for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Coach engineers on secure handling of sensitive data and safe adoption of AI-assisted workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks, including Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience building microservices-based applications and working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Full-stack proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, or React.
- Experience with distributed systems, web technologies, RESTful APIs, web services, WebSockets, and JSON.
- Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Git.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and demonstrated ability to lead approved AI-assisted software development practices.
- Understanding of secure, resilient, and responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include banking experience, AWS certification, RESTful API design and integration experience, mentoring, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
