Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, and evolve distributed, scalable, and high-performance Content Management Systems.
- Build CMS capabilities for content architecture, modeling, workflows, versioning, localization, publishing, APIs, integrations, search, and content delivery.
- Develop Java backend services and distributed systems using the Spring and Spring Boot ecosystems.
- Lead technical design, architectural direction, and end-to-end delivery of complex CMS capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and build consensus across creative, technical, and business partners.
- Use automation, AI-powered engineering workflows, and agentic workflows to improve CMS capabilities and software development productivity.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience designing and developing complex, highly available, and scalable enterprise web applications using Java and the JVM ecosystem.
- Expertise in Java 11 or later, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and reactive or asynchronous programming models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, with strong data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design fundamentals.
- Experience architecting and delivering distributed Java microservices and RESTful or GraphQL web services at scale.
- Experience designing and architecting SQL and NoSQL data models for large content repositories.
- Expertise in JVM performance tuning, profiling, concurrency, and production memory management.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and integration or contract testing frameworks.
- Ability to lead technical design, mentor engineers, and collaborate across creative, technical, and business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Java-based CMS or content platforms, including custom component, workflow, and API development.
- Preferred experience with CMS, DAM, and PIM integrations supporting content-as-a-service at scale with high security standards.
- Preferred experience with Redis, Memcached, CDN, Elasticsearch, Solr, Kafka, Splunk, Grafana, React, Vue, Angular, and AI/ML model integrations.
