Responsibilities
- Set and communicate team priorities aligned with broader organizational goals.
- Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Develop and evolve the mid-term technical direction and roadmap for infrastructure needs.
- Design, guide, and vet systems designs across the broader area.
- Write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
- Review code from other engineers and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or working with compute technologies or storage.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Preferred: experience designing, scaling, and operating highly available, distributed production systems.
