Base Salary

$116k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and iterate on AI agents in Go or Python using orchestrator/sub-agent architectures.
  • Own eval-driven development through golden datasets, scorers, regression suites, and quality metrics.
  • Develop and refine prompts and model configurations as versioned, tested artifacts.
  • Integrate agents with MCP servers and backend tools, defining safe tool-call contracts, approval flows, and abuse guardrails.
  • Instrument agents with tracing, metrics, and cost tracking, and use production signals to improve quality.
  • Collaborate with product designers and frontend engineers on conversational experiences.
  • Build proof-of-concept agents, harden them for general availability, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience with hands-on agentic AI/LLM application development.
  • Preferred minimum bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, SW, CE, or MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong development skills in a major language such as Go, Python, Ruby, or PHP.
  • Production experience with LLMs such as Gemini, Anthropic, or OpenAI.
  • Experience building LLM evaluation datasets, scorers, metrics, and iteration workflows.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, tool or function calling, and agent orchestration.
  • Deep experience designing APIs with gRPC, GraphQL, or REST and integrating data across systems.
  • Hands-on experience building MCP servers or LLM tool integrations.
  • Experience with agent frameworks such as Google ADK, LangChain/LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel is preferred.
  • Experience with evaluation or observability platforms such as Braintrust or LangSmith is preferred.
  • Experience with RAG systems, retrieval quality tuning, e-commerce platforms or SaaS product development, conversational AI, or natural language processing is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, execution, and delivery skills.
