
Sr. Software Engineer - Vehicle Order Fulfillment

- Develop and communicate technical vision aligned with product requirements and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with architects on technology decisions, architecture, and innovation strategies.
- Design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade React and Java applications using Quarkus and microservices.
- Modernize critical manufacturing applications and promote shared libraries, utilities, and component-based development.
- Apply software engineering practices including SOLID principles, TDD, clean architecture, automated testing, and design patterns.
- Adopt and operate deployment infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes within Red Hat OpenShift.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Improve application security, reliability, observability, logging, monitoring, and incident response planning.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and provide technical feedback and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver business value.
- Translate complex technical topics into business-relevant recommendations and define pragmatic architectural approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a heavy focus on Java.
- 3+ years mentoring peers and driving technical initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with React, Quarkus, Hibernate, REST APIs, microservices, and design patterns.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, automated testing, and agile methodologies.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and modern system design.
- Strong debugging and optimization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, planning capabilities, and ability to translate features into user stories.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with React, Kubernetes, Docker, Quarkus, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience working in a Scrum development methodology.
