
AES - Software Engineer - Telematics
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Study customer and internal specifications and create component design documents based on the software architecture.
- Develop, modify, port, debug, and maintain embedded C++ software components on Linux.
- Resolve unclear requirements with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate software development with peers and customers.
- Perform code reviews, functional testing, unit testing, and system-level testing to verify software quality and requirements compliance.
- Analyze root causes, implement fixes, verify their effectiveness, and address product requirements or performance issues.
- Improve required KPIs and propose optimal technical solutions.
- Travel occasionally, with expected travel of 0–20% depending on project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant IT-connected specialization.
- At least 4 years of experience as a software developer.
- At least 3 years of experience with C++.
- Good knowledge of Embedded Linux, Linux, embedded applications, inter-process communication, threading, socket communication, and embedded operating systems.
- Working knowledge of software development processes and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes TCP, UDP, MQTT, CAN, UML, Linux Kernel development, and Scrum or SAFe Agile methods.
