Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain hedge-accounting features for effectiveness assessment, journal-entry generation, and reporting workflows.
- Collaborate with Product and Delivery on user stories, sprint planning, documentation, and client feedback.
- Translate accounting requirements and operational pain points into reliable software and platform improvements.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks for accounting outputs and reporting data.
- Design features across frontend and backend layers using distributed-systems principles.
- Share engineering best practices and support the growth of less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally involving accounting software, financial reporting systems, or treasury management platforms.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and financial workflows.
- Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, including asynchronous programming patterns, ORM frameworks, and SOLID design principles.
- Experience building frontend and backend features and understanding event-driven architecture, service boundaries, and fault tolerance.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using xUnit or similar frameworks.
- Database design and development experience with relational and non-relational systems such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or MongoDB.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include C#, .NET 10, Entity Framework, React, Kafka, and AWS experience.
- Ability to work effectively across time zones in a distributed, international team.
