Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and features supporting Fortnite anti-cheat and related security capabilities.
- Implement corresponding game code and work with Fortnite client and backend components.
- Read, debug, and write Fortnite code in C++ and backend service code in Go.
- Identify vulnerable components, communicate recommended solutions, and implement fixes when appropriate.
- Debug, modify, and optimize security systems across the game client and backend.
- Help ensure resilient service operation at scale and assist with diagnosing and resolving live issues.
- Partner with client and game teams to maintain secure, full-featured underlying systems.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related subject, or proven extensive hands-on experience in place of a degree.
- Excellent knowledge of and debugging skills in C++.
- Fluency in Go, Java, C#, or a similar programming language.
- Ability to code and architect system frameworks, APIs, and tools using sound software programming principles.
- Understanding of online multiplayer video game architectures and online service backend technology stacks.
- Creative, methodical, self-directed approach to solving challenges through final resolution.
