Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain critical reliability components such as HTTP rate limiters and distributed caching.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize PostgreSQL usage.
- Lead investigations during severe production incidents to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Create scalable tools and frameworks for other engineering teams.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development and automate tasks.
- Influence reliability best practices by sharing knowledge and reviewing designs.
Requirements
- Strong expertise with Java/JVM and building scalable backend systems.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, including high availability and fault tolerance.
- Deep experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and non-relational storages like Redis.
- Practical experience with containerization and cloud-native environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Ability to work independently and use critical thinking to validate decisions.
- Strong written and spoken English skills for collaboration in an international environment.
