Responsibilities
- Own Oracle and PostgreSQL database administration across production and non-production SaaS environments.
- Lead database resiliency, disaster recovery, migration, and high-availability initiatives.
- Support AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure modernization.
- Improve platform stability and service performance in collaboration with Development, Professional Services, and Client Support teams.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud application and database issues, provide production support, perform scheduled maintenance, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Support containerized environments and Kubernetes-based deployments.
Requirements
- 7–9 years of experience supporting cloud applications, platforms, and enterprise database environments.
- Hands-on expertise administering Oracle and PostgreSQL, including backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, upgrades, and high-availability configurations.
- Experience with AWS services including RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Automation and scripting skills using Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GitLab, or Concourse.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, cloud infrastructure, security principles, and networking concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
