Responsibilities
- Design production agents, including prompts, reasoning chains, tool calls, MCP servers, agent scaffolding, context harnesses, and a Skills Marketplace.
- Build agentic workflows across scoping, design, code review, testing, deployment, and monitoring to reduce manual development friction.
- Own evaluation infrastructure, pipelines, benchmarks, eval harnesses, quality gates, and metrics for AI-assisted workflows.
- Create reusable libraries, templates, and reference implementations that help engineering teams move AI pilots into production.
- Establish trustworthy AI quality, safety, generation-to-merge, review latency, and deployment metrics across engineering teams.
- Partner with architects, domain leads, and product engineers to build safe and durable AI adoption patterns.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-time software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building tooling, platforms, or internal developer products.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with LLM integration patterns including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, tool or function calling, and agent architectures.
- Proficiency working across the software stack when needed.
- Experience with MCP, LangChain, or comparable orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with open source LLM models.
- A track record of building developer tools that other engineers actively use.
- Preferred experience with reinforcement learning, including RLHF, RLAIF, or reward modeling in applied product contexts.
- Preferred experience in fintech or regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AI governance, bias evaluation, audit logging, and model cards.
- Preferred exposure to multi-step reasoning pipelines or human-in-the-loop system design.
Benefits
- Base salary of $189,000-$231,000 plus equity and benefits.
- Hybrid position in Mountain View requiring in-office work 2 days per week.
