Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain software applications and services individually and within an Agile team.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, data scientists, product owners, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into working software.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, technical design discussions, and Agile/Scrum development activities.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and system tests to improve software quality and reliability.
- Use DevOps and CI/CD practices to automate builds, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues and improve application performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience developing software with one or more modern programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, or C#.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and source control tools such as Git.
- Experience developing or integrating APIs, web services, microservices, or distributed applications.
- Experience with software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of cloud-based application development using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Exposure to or experience with AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, or AI-enabled application development.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes aviation or similar high-tech industry work, global or multicultural environments, cloud-native applications, cloud-based AI services, and secure, regulated, mission-critical, or enterprise environments.
