Responsibilities

Design and implement projects for the data processing pipeline.
Build a data landscape that serves as the long-term single source of relevant data.
Engineer ETL processes.
Develop high-performance APIs and streaming solutions for clients and data vendors.
Advise internally on effective ways to track, store, and access data.
Define build pipelines and perform, validate, and monitor deployments.
Mentor technical colleagues and communicate concepts to stakeholders and developers.

At least 8 years of software development, data engineering, or relevant experience.
At least 5 years of in-depth Python experience.
Understanding of software engineering principles including microservice architectures, Liskov’s Substitution Principle, design patterns, and dynamic dispatch.
Experience with at least one SQL or NoSQL database, including schema definition and evolution, and ORM frameworks.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Ability to define Docker images according to the Twelve-Factor App methodology.
Ability to use Git from the command line and apply version-control management practices.
Strong technical mentoring skills.
Full professional proficiency in English.
Ability to illustrate ideas and concepts with figurative examples for stakeholders and developers.
Understanding the business domain in terms of mathematical structures is appreciated.
