Responsibilities
- Lead modernization and cloud migration of a large electronic trading platform.
- Enforce architectural principles, coding standards, and engineering best practices across backend and frontend teams.
- Migrate backend services to the cloud with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
- Design and develop React-based web interfaces and integrate them with backend trading services.
- Support regulatory compliance, audits, security assessments, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, architects, and engineers across business and technology teams.
- Review, challenge, and improve engineers’ designs and codebases.
- Mentor and guide engineers while helping build a high-performing development culture.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in either Java or React with strong hands-on experience in both.
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed, high-performance, scalable systems.
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of modern software architecture, including microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, and messaging middleware.
- Strong frontend engineering experience at scale, including React, TypeScript, testing frameworks, and performance optimization.
- Advanced backend engineering knowledge, including Java concurrency, multithreading, networking, JVM tuning, and performance profiling.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and observability through logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Ability to review and improve designs and codebases and to use AI tools productively and responsibly.
