Base Salary
$112k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated scripts for unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end functional testing.
- Deliver executable automated test cases each sprint and expand regression coverage across the DEERS application portfolio.
- Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices, UAT plans, test scenarios, test scripts, testing reports, release notes, and Software Version Descriptions.
- Document test results and defects, triage and replicate issues, track defects in JIRA, and provide escalation reporting.
- Support code reviews, quality thresholds, security scanning with Fortify, Sonatype, and BURP, and release quality gates.
- Conduct Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and assist with VPATs and remediation documentation.
- Support stress, load, disaster recovery, and Independent Verification & Validation testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain sprint-level quality, defect, and automation metrics.
Requirements
- Minimum experience requirements are 12 years with a BS/BA, 10 years with an MS/MA, 7 years with a Ph.D., or 16 years with a high school diploma.
- Obtain and maintain public trust clearance.
- Hold IAM/IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CompTIA CySA+, or GIAC Security Essentials.
- Have experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software testing and experience with an automation framework or scripting language such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Python, or Java.
- Understand software testing lifecycles, Agile/Scrum, DevSecOps, defect tracking, and clear test-result documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include ISTQB Foundation certification, TDD familiarity, security testing-tool exposure, Section 508/WCAG testing, ServiceNow, CI/CD test integration, Oracle or PL/SQL experience, and DoD or federal IT program experience.
