Base Salary

$108k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy integrated embedded real-time software in systems combining firmware and hardware.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline IPT members to define and improve product concepts, implementation, testability, reliability, and measurable quality.
  • Work with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, management, and other team members using Lean and Agile practices.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Work across the product line with other teams and obtain program access when required.

Requirements

  • A STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience are required.
  • Experience in at least two of embedded C++ software, embedded software security, and software architecture design and implementation is required.
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux is required.
  • Experience developing complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware, and software is required.
  • An active and transferable final Secret U.S. government security clearance is required before the start date, with the ability to obtain program access.
  • Preferred qualifications include rate-monotonic theory, layered architecture, electrical schematics, VHDL or Verilog firmware, assembly language, laboratory instruments, device drivers, and leadership of hardware-software integration teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
