Base Salary

$108k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, optimize, and test signals-processing software for satellite ground systems.
  • Develop and implement RF, Fourier-transform, and digital signal-processing algorithms, including filtering, demodulation, and adaptive beamforming.
  • Integrate signal-processing software with satellite ground systems and analyze algorithm performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve signals software issues.
  • Lead one or more software development teams and ensure work follows established software processes, requirements, documentation, and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, existing on the first day, and adjudicated less than three years before the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship, because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
  • Typically a STEM degree and at least eight years of prior relevant experience.
  • Signals Software Engineer or equivalent experience focused on RF, including Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error-control coding, signals analysis tools, and digital signal processing.
  • Preferred experience with software-defined radio architectures, Java, C, C++, Python, satellite communications and ground systems, commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, software configuration management, and MATLAB.
