Base Salary
$135k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve software with an emphasis on code optimization and organization.
- Build applications, workflow automation, internal tools, and basic agents using AI coding agents.
- Lead software services across geographically distributed development teams and coordinate issue resolution with operations and technical teams.
- Review designs and code from multiple teams and enforce service-level standards.
- Own the quality and engineering metrics of designated microservices.
- Design and implement scalable microservices, enterprise-scale APIs, and cloud-native platform capabilities.
- Provide technical coaching to junior engineers and work independently on complex projects.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience, or an MS with 5+ years of experience; equivalent work experience may substitute for a degree.
- Demonstrated experience with modern programming languages and frameworks, including Java, Spring Boot, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Apache Camel.
- At least 2 years of hands-on technical leadership designing and implementing large-scale microservices.
- At least 2 years of experience with agile development, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
- At least 1 year of experience with architecture design concepts and communicating those concepts to broad-based teams.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience building and deploying microservices-based platforms at scale.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience building enterprise-scale APIs for web and mobile applications.
- At least 1 year of experience with AWS-based architecture design and implementation.
- At least 6 months of hands-on experience using AI coding agents to build or accelerate end-to-end software delivery.
- Preferred: FinTech industry experience and experience building external customer-facing applications with open-source technologies and front-end technology stacks.
