Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack product experiences for Nextdoor’s Local Conversations Rewards & Incentives pod.
- Develop high-quality web experiences using React and Python/Django.
- Contribute to entity-relationship modeling, solution architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration.
- Collaborate with product management, design, frontend, backend, data science, infrastructure, and machine learning engineers.
- Break down product requirements, develop maintainable solutions, and contribute product perspective.
- Gradually participate in an on-call shadow rotation after onboarding and ramp-up.
- Use AI tools to support workflows while taking ownership of AI-assisted outputs.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping software in a production environment.
- Strong frontend fundamentals and modern JavaScript and React experience.
- Experience with a server-side web application language; Python/Django experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL and development across frontend and backend systems.
- At least 2 years of software development experience and demonstrated ability to own projects with increasing independence.
- Ability to break down requirements, collaborate on technical approaches, and implement maintainable solutions.
- Strong verbal and written collaboration and communication skills.
- Storybook or other component-driven development experience is a plus.
- Interest in applying AI tools and emerging technologies.
- Willingness to attend applicable in-person trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team-building events.
