Responsibilities
- Build efficient, reusable applications and abstractions across backend and identity systems.
- Own projects from prototyping and design through implementation, integration, QA, and delivery.
- Automate repetitive workflows to improve team efficiency.
- Improve product performance, reliability, observability, scalability, stability, and security.
- Drive adoption of backend best practices and raise engineering standards through code reviews, tooling, and process improvements.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders and team members to resolve ambiguous requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with a startup mentality and willingness to learn.
- Expertise in Python, Go, or Java and experience with a relevant web framework.
- Expertise in Kubernetes and containerization.
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases such as Postgres and MongoDB.
- Experience in solution architecture and with cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred experience with OLAP databases, Kafka, RabbitMQ or other queuing services, distributed or multi-tenant systems, and asynchronous programming.
- Strong problem diagnosis, creative problem-solving, ownership, bias for action, self-starter, and teamwork qualities.
