Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions and generative AI applications for life sciences commercial data and analytics.
- Integrate third-party AI APIs including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Hugging Face into internal and client-facing applications.
- Build proof-of-concepts, rapid prototypes, internal tools, and client-facing services for launch analytics, drug discovery, patient analytics, and data operations.
- Develop and maintain AI-powered applications that automate workflows, improve productivity, and deliver insights, dashboards, and recommendations.
- Use AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services to build and deploy scalable AI solutions.
- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes supporting model training, fine-tuning, and inference.
- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and models and contribute to internal platform and AI-powered product initiatives.
- Gather client requirements, provide technical guidance and code reviews, and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
- Stay current with AI/ML, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agent technologies while promoting best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver projects on schedule using an agile delivery model.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building AI/ML applications with LLMs, generative AI, and NLP frameworks.
- Strong Python skills and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Experience integrating AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, and Azure OpenAI into production applications.
- Experience building and deploying internal tools and applications with technologies such as Streamlit, Gradio, Flask, FastAPI, or React.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, API development, version control, SQL, Python, and databases.
- Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Redshift, and Databricks.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, AI agent frameworks, AI safety, responsible AI, and model evaluation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency with Agile/Scrum and project management tools such as JIRA and Smartsheet.
- AI Engineer candidates should have 4+ years of AI/ML engineering experience; Senior AI Engineer candidates should have 6+ years, including client-facing experience.
- An advanced degree or BE/BTech in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source AI contributions, personal AI projects, or published AI/ML research, plus knowledge of US pharma datasets and healthcare concepts.
