Base Salary
$150k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the Native Component Library built with Jetpack Compose
- Improve Android developer experience through CI/CD optimization, test automation, and automated multi-team releases
- Maintain networking infrastructure for offline-first synchronization, intelligent caching, and secure data transit
- Implement low-level BLE, NFC, and custom Wi-Fi handshakes for secure hardware connectivity
- Optimize type-safe communication between web-based components and native sensors, secure enclaves, and system logic
- Evaluate architectural patterns such as Server-Driven UI and advise product teams on platform design
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional Android development experience
- Deep mastery of Kotlin and the Android SDK
- Strong experience with mobile CI/CD, including tools such as GitHub Actions and Bitrise
- Experience with test automation and developer productivity tooling
- Deep understanding of networking stacks including OkHttp, Retrofit, and Protobuf
- Experience handling unreliable network conditions at scale
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC, or Android background execution limits
- Expert proficiency with Jetpack Compose and experience scaling shared UI libraries across multiple teams
- Experience managing Google Play Store release cycles for frequently deployed apps with multiple contributors
