Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, high-performance operator interfaces for drone control and mission management.
- Collaborate with autonomy, firmware, cloud, and product teams to create reliable user experiences.
- Architect and build features that connect C++ autonomy engines with Android applications.
- Utilize AI to enhance engineering velocity through automated testing and intelligent tooling.
- Champion a product engineer mindset by understanding operator needs and owning outcomes.
- Mentor engineers to improve software quality and user-centric design.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with expertise in C++ and Android (Kotlin/Java).
- Deep experience with Android NDK and JNI, including building and debugging native libraries.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android ecosystem components.
- Experience with graphics APIs such as Vulkan or OpenGL ES.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills across native and managed boundaries.
- Experience with low-latency network communication protocols.
- Proven track record of shipping mobile apps that integrate with hardware or IoT devices.
- Proficiency in Linux development environments.
