Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development of a new cross-platform React Native mobile application.
- Build real-time video-, telemetry-, map-, and collaboration-focused experiences for drone pilots, first responders, mission commanders, and public users.
- Improve performance through effective use of TypeScript and native Swift or Kotlin code.
- Establish shared components, navigation and state-management conventions, testing strategy, CI/CD practices, and performance budgets.
- Own features end to end from prototyping through customer rollout, including release management, feature flagging, and observability.
- Enable complex multi-drone operations and collaborate with autonomy and cloud teams using field feedback.
- Design systems for performance, reliability, and usability and integrate with external APIs and services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer-facing mobile applications, with substantial React Native depth.
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Strong Swift and/or Kotlin development skills, including experience writing or maintaining native modules.
- Experience building real-time, data-intensive features and integrating external APIs and services.
- Ability to design scalable systems and diagnose performance, reliability, and usability issues.
- Experience taking complex integrated features from concept to production across teams.
- Strong product intuition and empathy for users operating in high-stakes environments.
- Bonus experience with WebRTC, LiveKit, RTP/UDP pipelines, Mapbox, Cesium, OpenGL, WebGL, WebGPU, Three.js, Expo, Fabric, TurboModules, robotics or autonomy platforms, BLE, Wi-Fi, vendor SDKs, or React Native on macOS.
- Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged and required for certain positions.
