Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagements as Red Hat’s technical lead for trusted software supply chain adoption.
- Conduct technical conversations, workshops, proofs of concept, deep dives, bake-offs, and implementation activities for developers, engineering leaders, and security teams.
- Configure and troubleshoot customer builds using Lightwell repositories and advise on artifact management, mirroring, pipelines, disconnected environments, and air-gapped delivery.
- Position Red Hat Lightwell capabilities including hardened container images, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline enforcement, and runtime security.
- Collaborate with Lightwell engineering, sales, Customer Success, Consulting Services, partners, and customers to provide product feedback and develop solutions.
- Deliver technical presentations, public speaking, customer advocacy, community outreach, and enablement for the Red Hat Technical Sales organization.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of combined experience in software engineering, build or release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales involving software dependency and upgrade responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience working in customer or production build environments and configuring, executing, and troubleshooting builds.
- Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependencies, lockfiles, and version constraints.
- Experience with enterprise artifact repositories, internal mirrors, registry and repository configuration, build reproducibility, disconnected delivery, and multi-language codebases.
- Knowledge of SLSA Level 3, SBOM formats and lifecycle including SPDX and CycloneDX, artifact signing, HSM-backed signing, attestation, build and admission enforcement, VEX, CSAF, provenance, typosquatting, and dependency confusion.
- Ability to deliver technical presentations, lead business-value discussions, communicate accurately about product coverage and roadmap, and engage engineering and executive audiences.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business and customer needs.
- Preferred qualifications include sales-engineering or technical-sales experience, Java or Python development experience, enterprise-scale CI/CD or artifact-repository ownership, DevSecOps and application/product security experience, upstream open-source participation, and familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform, compliance regimes, and control automation.
