Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and support full-stack web applications for RxNorm within the U.S. National Library of Medicine's User Services and Collection Division.
- Build and maintain frontend and backend functionality using the listed programming languages, frameworks, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Use version control, CI/CD pipeline tools, and software engineering tools to deliver and improve software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a scientific field such as engineering or physics, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of full-stack web application development experience using Python, Django, and Angular.
- Understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 frontend technologies.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab, Bamboo, and other CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Current experience with Java, Python/Django, JavaScript, CSS, Ruby, HTML5, and Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of computer science principles including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with software engineering tools such as JIRA and test-driven development.
- Experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with Agile software development methods.
