Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and support the next-generation securitized products platform.
- Develop and monitor downstream feeds to other systems.
- Enhance systems and develop functionality in partnership with front-office and middle-office teams.
- Support trade capture and front-office monitoring.
- Respond to ad-hoc queries from Sales & Trading and Middle Office.
- Integrate vendor systems with internal Nomura systems and processes.
- Apply best-practice software engineering and modern development practices.
Requirements
- Strong database skills and SQL experience, with one or more of MS SQL, Sybase, or Postgres.
- Strong server-side programming skills in Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Perl.
- Excellent problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited specifications and learn new fixed-income instruments.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Knowledge of mortgages, whole loans, warehouse financing, or related securitized products is preferred.
